I grabbed the above shot of the NOAA GOES satellite image yesterday morning that illustrates the extent to which forest fire smoke has blanketed our region. Parks, beaches, boat ramps, and playfields have been closed in Seattle. There is plenty of coverage of this in the media; I am inserting this into my timeline here to remind myself what happened at home this week.
